Its name is misleading, as there is no beach. But this area has three artificial ponds stocked with fish including one that is only for children. Another pond is for model boats which I’ve seen people use to chase the ducks and geese around… Tingley Beach lies along the bosque lining the Rio Grande and you can access a network of trails through the cottonwoods one of which leads to two more ponds which are part of a preserve.
Today I went looking for migrants and found one large flock. Gray skies made the light bad and hard to see the birds well, but I managed to see a number of warblers including a Nashville Warbler (Bernalillo bird #146 and New Mexico bird 194).
